Significance of balancing Chakras organically

Chakra is a Sanskrit word that means wheel. Chakras balance and maintain health in our bodies. Long before the evolution of modern technology, ancient people knew that all living things have life forces within them. These life forces are called centers of energy, which are known as seven chakras.

Let us understand the seven chakras and their importance:

  1. The Root Chakra: The Root Chakra also known as Muladhara connects all your energy with the Earth known as grounding. This chakra is present at the base of the spine and goes up to your belly. This energy center gives you everything you need to survive ranging from financial to emotional security. Its color is red.
  2. The Sacral Chakra: Known by the name Svadhishana it is the second chakra of the body. This chakra brings you the creative energy to enhance your life. It helps you to enjoy your life on earth, as it is the home to all the creative force. It is orange in color and is located below the belly button.
  3. The Solar Plexus Chakra: Known by the name Manipura, this chakra gives you your self-confidence, identity and personal power. The chakra gives you your gut feeling or inner conscience. It is yellow, starts from the belly button, and extends up to the breastbone.
  4. The Heart Chakra: This is the fourth chakra also known as the Anahata chakra, which gives rise to kindness, love and compassion. Since our heart is allied with love and the fourth chakra is all about love. That is why it is also known as chakra of health and healing. Its color is green and is located right over the heart.
  5. The Throat Chakra: Also known as Vishuddha, its Hindi translation is ‘PURE’. This chakra enables you to speak the truth and that is from where the inner voice comes from. When your throat chakra is balanced, you speak with love, truth and kindness. It is blue in color and is right between your collarbones down to the center of the heart.
  6. The 3 rd Eye Chakra: Third Eye Chakra Ajna is also known as Beyond Wisdom. This chakra enables you to see beyond the material world. It is a region of intuition and extrasensory perception. Its color is indigo and is in the center of your two eyebrows. It is also known as the third eye.
  7. The Crown Chakra: Known by the name Sahaswara, its energy is hard to explain and can be compared to a magnet. It has the energy that connects us to the entire universe. Its color is white and is located at the top of your head.
